How many adventure can one person pack into five years?
A lot, it turns out. After graduating from my high school in the Kansas City suburbs, I moved to Fort Worth to attend Texas Christian University, where I matriculated with a degree in journalism in May 2014.
During my college journalism career, I took internships that lead to me to work in Virginia (USA TODAY) and Massachusetts (The Cape Cod Times and Patch.com). One semester, I studied abroad at La Universidad Pablo de Olavide in Seville, Spain.
Most recently, I worked as the education reporter at a daily newspaper in Fort Myers, Florida, where I learned the true value of a good bottle of sunscreen, among other things.
After satiating my wanderlust, I’m excited to be back in my hometown of Kansas City with my husband and our miniature poodle, Willie.
