Born outside of Kansas City, I am a graduating senior at Texas Christian University in Fort
Worth, Texas, where I study journalism and Spanish. Currently, I am an investigative reporter working a team for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Last semester, I was a full-time intern at USA TODAY headquarters in McLean, Va. Before that, I studied abroad for a semester at La Universidad Pablo de Olavide in Seville, Spain.
I am an Spring 2011 alumna of the USA TODAY Collegiate Correspondent Program. Last fall, I served as the News Director for the newly-converged student media, TCU 360. In the summer of 2012, I interned at the Cape Cod Times, where I was picked up by the Associated Press and had 12 A1 stories.
In the past, I was an opinion columnist, reporter and designer for the TCU Daily Skiff and Managing Editor of Image Magazine. In the summer of 2011, I was a writing intern at Greenability Magazine in Kansas City.
When I’m not writing, I’m collecting salt and pepper shakers, dreaming about adopting a puppy and making ethnic dishes.
